Synertech is also developing a variety of natural lighting systems which use the sun as their primary light source.  These direct sunlight across white ceilings which in turn illuminate the working spaces below.  The resulting lighting environment is free of glare and solar radiation which could cause fading of fabrics and art work while retaining the visible color properties of sunlight.  In addition to providing natural light without using electricity, air conditioning needs are substantially diminished. Synertech also provides consulting services to a select group of clients in the public and private sectors.  We design and evaluate programs and train staff  in residential retrofit and weatherization—and have done so for over two decades [Corporate History]  We also offer consulting services in the design, construction, and commissioning of new buildings, with a focus on the seamless integration of energy saving and renewable technologies into projects in elegant ways.  [Synertech philosophy]

We are encouraged by the increasing public awareness of the deep-running energy and environmental problems that threaten our fragile planet and its inhabitants.  It is also heartening to see that building science is progressing from its infancy to the point where many can crawl and some are beginning to walk.   

However, there is much more to be learned and lots of work to be done.  By keeping a clear eye on the goal and using practical wisdom borne of experience, the energy efficiency community can provide leadership in doing the right thing well and efficiently.
